I’m originally from the greater Hershey, PA area and moved to New York City in 2001 for a career in the entertainment business after completing an undergrad degree in television production, public relations and journalism.  During my college years, many of my fellow college classmates would ask me to appear as the talent in their video projects and I found myself enjoying it more and more.  So I took a class at a local acting school and booked a regional commercial right out of the gate, fully igniting my interest in performance.  Oh, and I did the name change thing – from Jason Small to Jason Alan Caine, c-mon now – you can’t tell me it’s not an improvement, can you?

Since 2001 I have appeared (in speaking roles) on 100+ episodes of Daytime TV soaps including: As the World Turns, All My Children, and The Guiding Light.  I have also appeared on Sabrina the Teenage Witch and various other shows, as well as on stage at Radio City Music Hall and the International Fringe Festival in New York.

In addition to performance I have found a strong interest in entrepreneurship and marketing.  This led to traveling the country as a marketer for mixed martial arts promoting and attending 20+ live events and working directly with the fight camps and fighters.  It also led to opening my own boutique online marketing agency, Great Young Minds LLC (www.GreatYoungMinds.com) as well as working for several celebrities, including Alan Cumming (X-Men 2, Spy Kids).  In the past few years, I have also created and pitched three reality-series concepts, two of these concepts became signed deals with two different major production companies: The Magical Elves and RDF Media.  Additionally, my interest in marketing (specific to online media) is evident in my social media blog, Social Media and The Big W (www.SocialMediaAndTheBigW.com) where I author posts offering thought leadership in the online marketing space.

A few other interesting bits of information; I have been a serious racquetball player for 15+ years with trophies from many regional tournaments.  I have directed a music video for a regional rock band, as well as a promotional featurette. I have played the drums for 15+ years.  I am fully capable of producing, directing, editing and marketing my own productions and future plans include a new division of Great Young Minds LLC dedicated to producing quality independent productions.
